Sam Rickman, DPh

Sam was born and raised in Trousdale County TN and graduated from Trousdale County High School. He attended the University of Mississippi and graduated in 1962 with a B.S. Pharmacy degree. He became a member of Sigma Chi fraternity and is still active in alumni activities.

Sam worked in Jackson Mississippi for a short period after graduation before coming back to Lebanon Tennessee for a year. In 1964 Sam came to Gallatin and joined the staff of Perkins Drugs to run the new store opening on Hartsville Pike; the present location. In 1967 he became a full partner in Perkins Drugs.

Sam belongs to the First United Methodist Church in Gallatin where he has served in many positions. He has been a member of the Gallatin Lions Club since 1967 having served in all positions in the club.

Sam is married to the former Amanda Atkinson from Hattiesburg Mississippi. They have 2 children and 2 grandsons. His son Keith is an oral surgeon in Jackson Tennessee and daughter Amanda Joy Carter of Nashville has a master's degree in occupational therapy.
