Andrew Finney, Pharm.D.

Andrew was raised in Sumner County (Goodlettsville) and graduated from Beech High School in 1997. He attended Volunteer State Community College and earned as Associate of Science degree. He was awarded a transfer scholarship to Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville where he pursued a degree in Chemistry. Prior to finishing his senior year he was accepted to pharmacy school and began his professional medical education in the fall of 2001. He graduated from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center College of Pharmacy in Memphis Tennessee in May of 2005 with the Doctor of Pharmacy degree. He earned the excellence in community pharmacy award in his graduating class.

In July 2005 Andrew came to Perkins to begin his career as a Pharmacist. He began the immunization program for Perkins Drugs in 2006 and continues to operate it today. He also oversees and administers the medication therapy management program. In the spring of 2009 he became an adjunct faculty member for the Lipscomb University College of Pharmacy and teaches/precepts student pharmacists on site at Perkins weekly. In July of 2009 he took to the opportunity to become a co-owner of Perkins Drugs alongside Sam and Ferrell.

Andrew is married to Audrey and they have 3 boys. He enjoys spending time with his family, running, camping, and mountain biking. His family attends Long Hollow Baptist where Andrew serves as a deacon. He is also and active member in the Gallatin Rotary Club where he served as President from 2010 - 2011.
